Nominate a Veteran

Tell us about a Western New York veteran who deserves it, and why. Submissions open October 7, 2026.

Submissions Close

Entries close November 4, 2026. After that we read through every nomination we received.

A Winner Is Chosen

One veteran is selected from all of the nominations submitted this year.

Surprised on Veterans Day

The winner finds out on November 11, then we get to work building their new deck.

I called Decked Out WNY. They built a porch on my house that was bigger, better and cheaper than the competition! The work was done quickly and they were great about keeping me informed on the progress. I was so happy with the job they did, I had them redo my rear deck as well. Pat built us a large shed “or tiny barn”[...] Going the “pole barn” route for our custom shed was an easy decision as pat designed it to our specifications, worked with the City for permits, made it more durable than a traditional shed and easy to maintain as we will never have to change the roofing. Pat kept in touch with us throughout the project. Looking outside at our beautiful mini barn makes us feel like we have a little bit of the country in the city. We use it for photo shoots, hanging out, and oh yeah...storing stuff!

My wife and I were staring at an empty backyard on a city lot for 5 years. It was time to take advantage and build our perfect oasis. We started with just a hot tub, and needed a nice deck around it.
